Every month I try to buy the Waitrose kitchen magazine, it has some lovely recipes and interesting food articles. Today I made Ribollita which is a bread soup from the Feb edition of Waitrose magazine, Lucy bond head gardener of Petersham Nurseries shares her recipe.

Now let it not be said that my presents are not original. We don't make a big deal out of valentines day but a small token is good. The kitchen is usually out of bounds for me, it is usually safer if my husband does the cooking, so I bought my husband something relevant and useful.
Just call me romantic!
To redeem myself I thought I would buy some Root Beer which is something my husband loves, I couldn't find it in Waitrose and when I asked its whereabouts the nice lady said "Alcoholic or not?" I never new there was an alcoholic version so to be different I bought some, the verdict was that it was delicious.
