A few weekends ago I was lucky enough to go to the Bristol Balloon Festival, I was apparently even more lucky that the weather was just perfect for all the balloons to take off on all three days.

I visited Chartwell some 18 years ago and felt the need to go back, all the 50th aniversary news of Winston Churchills death in the media reminded me how much I like Kent as a county. It was a freezing cold day but I was not disappointed, the house although not grand given the importance of Churchill was welcoming and friendly, with lots of great recent history.
