Some of you have asked for the recipe for my husbands tree birthday cake.Julie my friend made him this lovely tasty cake for his birthday, the tin it was made in is called a bundt tin which you can purchase from John lewis, it is quite expensive but the end result is very impressive, great for christmas coming up. The cake was supposed to represent the trees in New England as we are going there soon, the leaves are of course representing the stunning fall we will hopefully see, the guitar and camera are two of my husband's favourite past times, and the chair and sign post are replicas of the ones you find dotted around the stunning Mill Fall's in Meredith New Hampshire which we will be visiting. The small figure was found by Julie's daughter who thought it looked very much like my husband! The cake was amazing drizzled with Maple Syrup. Julie very kindly made us some bags of Snickerdoodle and Tree bark biscuits which went down very well with all our guests.
Here are some pictures of the cake and also what you could make it look like for Christmas, plus the delicious recipe.
