The gardens at Lanhydrock house are as stunning as the house itself, they are quite sheltered and seem to thrive in that Cornish almost tropical climate that you find in enclosed garden spaces.

Whitchurch Silk Mill in Hampshire is a 19th century water mill that weaves English silk fabrics using 19th century machinery. The Mill is the oldest working silk mill in Britain, still weaving in its original building. If you are a fan of BBC productions such as Cranford and Pride and Prejudice you will have seen some of their work being worn in the period costumes.
